Underground Diamond Drilling Machines

Hello, this is some pictures of the machines I'm working on in an underground enviroment, which is from 4000 to 7000 feet deep beneath the surface of the sidewalks, trails and roads we walk on! I have been underground now for about 12 or 15 years now but who's counting. I also been working at three of the biggest mines in Northern Ontario, in the Kirkalnd Lake area so far. The pictures below were taken the first year I when under ground as an helper on the diamond drills.

Please be an little patience in waiting for the pictures to come in which should not take that long to do. I'm trying to get more resent picture which will show more in depth of the type of work I do underground.

Enjoy them it is interesting....

the diamond drills are use to drill holes in the rock face at any angle to an depth of 50 ft to 2000 ft. Which is to find out the gold content and where the gold is going and how thick the vain is before they or the mine desides to mine the ore....

The only thing about these pictures is that I had more to put in like the area which we the drillers work in and how good we try to keep these areas in safe condition for the workers on the site! Work hard and work safely is the number one thing! Live for the next day to get the pay check is number one with me too!

This picture is of an diamond drill air machine, which could drill up to or a little more than 1000 feet drill holes.

The next picture is the same but see more of the surroundings which the drill is set up in, with two steel bars to hold up the machine.

The below picture is more of the looks of underground....

I would like to take this time to thank you for checking out the pictures I have taken underground of some of the machines I worked on and what it looks like or give an good idea of what it looks like.....
