Porquis Blues Festival 2010 - Saturday's Review

Well this Blues Festival is the 13th event for which I've not even miss one since the first festival back in 1998

which the Downchild Blues Band grace the stage and just blew me away in first with the music and seeing the legends live!

Number 1 in my books!

It's the people in the seating area that gives the artist thier power to play

Danny B & Jake Thomas

Danny B & Jake did a very nice acoustic guitar and harmonica dual set for the start of Saturady's crowd.

A Very Nice Video of Danny B & Jake on Acoustic Guitar

Danny B is a story teller because he told a tale before ever song for which it made the set very enjoyable for the crowd for the begining of this set.

I do hope the video above give you all the fire to get out to see these two in action live!

Shrimp Daddy & the Sharpshooters

I really love the sound this band has it got my blood going for the Chicago city in the south.

Very Cool Guitars this player had and the colors even made them better.

The close up say's it all, folks!

Harrison Kenndy

This guy was really 1930's style blues and the guitar he use was the sound for those days.

It was different but very, very good.

I just saw him on Rez Blues on the native channel on the tude

Great stuff keep an close eye on this artist.

Jake & The Fundamentals

What can I say about Jake and the Fundamentals is that they are a great

"Rockin' Blues " band

whom live and spread thier music in the NORTH!

Man! If you get a chance to see them live, you won't be cheated!

The first of two very good videos of this band.

and now the music was just like it should be pure live blues!

Jake bringin' down the house with his biting leads for each song

that shows just how the group can get the crowd up on thier feet.

Now it's with Mr.Rockin' Guitar Slinger Blues buster his self...

John's Rockin' Blues

If you get a chance to buy the band's CD pick it up they are all great stuff...

Now I got some pic' on a few Classic Cars folks

Also I really love the color too, BLUE!

Elmer Ferrer

Now this guy really rock my socks last year

and this year he got along a little girl with a big voice so the music was more towards the singing

but he still played that guitar like it was insane!

Get his new CD "No Guitars Allowed" Folks!

Elmer has many cultures invole in his music...along with the BLUEs

but the blues does come out and puts a real fast hard edge to his music it's just jaw dropping...

Wow another very good looking guitar and just sounds great too.

Gary Kendall Band

This guy is the BASS Guitar player from the Downchild Blues Band

Doing his own thing with some great players aswell.

The music was not the same as Downchild but more straight BlueS!

The left picture above as two Fender amps which on is a "Deville" and the other is a "Deluxe".

True Blues sounds for this style of music.

Erin McCallum Band

I really love the sound this band so here's the first video I shot but like always

wish I had more than just two which I try for more

but the crowd was really havin' a BLAST...

I did buy her new CD, called, "Common Ground". the CD has some very nice piano work in a few tracks and also an acoustic track too.

Maybe next time she would bring the piano player too?

I wish I would have gotten more like always but that's all folks...

Because the music was to be enjoy and these pictures just help in the memory of the day.

If anyone has pictures and want to put them up on this page? Get in touch with me and I will for sure!

more to come . . .

Well next year 2011 and I can't wait... I really look forward to the event which makes me smiol a mile width deep in my soul...
